Successful Completion of Digital Competency-Based PE Training for Indonesian Faculty
KoreaPEN recently concluded a hybrid training program, hosted by KRIVET, to enhance Indonesian faculty's digital skills in practice enterprise (PE) operations. The program achieved a 100% completion rate, equipping participants with practical expertise in digital tools and vocational training methods. This initiative aims to strengthen Indonesia's vocational education and foster international collaboration, with future expansions planned in textile and fashion sectors.
We are pleased to offer the Training of Trainers(TOT) of Practice Enterprise Program, recognized in over 40 countries and the EU as a premier continuing education, work experience, and entrepreneurial training initiative.
This course, conducted in Korea as part of the Korea-Indonesia national cooperation project, is designed to benefit aspiring global leaders capable of running PE programs for young people and students.
To promote international exchange and the domestic expansion of the PE program, we are providing an opportunity for two foreign experts residing in Korea to attend free of charge.
German Delegation Visits Korea to Strengthen Vocational and Educational Exchange
In April 2024, public officials and educators from Hamburg and Bremen visited Korea to explore opportunities for Korean-German collaboration in vocational training and education. KoreaPEN facilitated meetings with organizations like the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, the Korea Startup Forum, and NIIED to discuss student exchanges, entrepreneurship programs, and global talent development. Visits to AHK Korea, Goethe Institut, and Korean institutions like Seoul Convention High School further strengthened ties. The delegation also toured Seoul, laying the groundwork for future cooperation in education and employment.
SWEP Fall 2023 at Seoul Foreign School: Nurturing Young Entrepreneurs
The SWEP (Schoolwide Extracurricular Program), held from September 15 to December 8, 2023, at Seoul Foreign School, offered students a hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, centered around KoreaPEN's Practical Enterprise Program. Over 10 weeks, participants developed essential skills, from creating company logos to brainstorming innovative products and services. The program culminated in a Virtual Investment Pitch, where students presented their business ideas to judges, honing public speaking and entrepreneurial skills. SWEP 2023 empowered students with valuable knowledge and an entrepreneurial mindset, preparing them for future success in business.
KRIVET held the ‘2023 KRIVET Work Experience and Practical Enterprise Activation Seminar’ to discuss strategies for helping youth and students adapt to workplaces. Presentations included the outcomes of the ‘Digital Competency-Based Job Experience Enterprise Program’ by Dr. Jongho Jeon and case studies from KoreaPEN’s CEO, Ms. Minjeong Kim. Experts explored ways to develop digital skills, collaboration, and communication abilities among youth. The seminar also highlighted research supporting Indonesia's industrial development and future program strategies.
From September 4 to 15, 2023, 20 Korean students from Seoul Robotics High School and 20 German students from TBZ Mitte participated in a global field learning program in Bremen, Germany. The program, based on KoreaPEN's Practical Enterprise model, focused on entrepreneurial skills through the creation of virtual technology startups.
Students engaged in team building, technical product development, and mock investment pitches, including a successful presentation at Europaschule Schulzentrum Utbremen. Beyond academics, participants experienced German culture through company visits, geocaching, and social events like barbecues and a garden party hosted by a German student's family.
The program, part of Korea’s Ministry of Education initiative, aims to foster global competencies and is set to continue with a German student exchange visit to Korea in 2024.
